Special Ask - Help Me Help Families in Need
I'm at P&G's Digital Hack Night with about 150 marketers and we're trying to use social media to raise $100K in 3 hours for families in need. How about that?! Instead of pushing out messages about its soap to the masses, we've banded together to ask our networks of friends, families and colleagues to help us make a difference. Specifically, we are selling Tide vintage t-shirts for $20 -- actually I'm wearing one right now and it's pretty cool! -- but most important, 100% of the profits goes to Feeding America. This is real. No bull. Matter of fact, if YOU buy a t-shirt, send me and email or post to this blog after you buy a shirt and I'll donate a $10 for every tee shirt you buy. If you buy 10 t-shirts, I'll give you an hour of free advice. Deal? !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Help me us out...just go to www.tide4.com.

Got a blue one and I'd love some advice. Any thoughts on how to get an 8-year-old boy to wear a coat when it's 30 degrees? Best of luck in the Hack.

Cause marketing at its best. Such a simple and thoughtful initiative. And I love the fact that the customer comments on main site were brutally honest. I plan on wearing my Green Loads of Hope t while I work on the never ending pile of little people's dirty clothes in my basement.

Just had a chance to check in to see if anyone commented -- WOW! I am taken aback by the response, the support...made my day! Can hardly wait to see everyone wearing their tees. This experiment will live on in more ways than they ever intended. Thank you...truly.
