Circuit City Pushes to Own "24"

Circuitcity_24_1 24 months of financing

24 minutes (*purportedly) to pick-up instore

24 days of HDTV giveaways

And now, never-seen-before content from, surprise, surprise, the first five seasons of the TV show  "24".

With all the brands clamoring for our attention without really giving us a good reason to think about them, and in a increasingly commoditized industry, I'll say kudos to Circuit City for taking ownership of something that is, well, ownable, and attempting to change a company culture in order to deliver on the promise.

*During our annual Holiday E-commerce Watch, we purchased a TV online, so that we could pick it up in store, in the promised 24 minutes. We got to the store only to find that their system was 4 hours behind the internet and they couldn't get us the TV we'd already purchased. No freebie, no apology, no resolution. Maybe a one-off experience, maybe they typically deliver, but in this one instance,  "24" fell short.
